Piper is 6 months!

Height and Weight: 16.2 lbs and 27 inches (still!)

New Things: Piper can now roll from back to front to back to side to ....well, you get my gist. This girl is ALL over the place. She doesn't crawl, she just rolls everywhere!
When I first had this, I thought the buckles were superfluous...HA!
She weaned herself from being swaddled. I gave up on this several weeks ago, and while we were in St. Simons, she was fussing so badly, I finally just unswaddled her, lay her in the pack and play, and she was out like a light. She has slept unswaddled ever since! (THAT was easy!)

We have ONE tooth- bottom left! It's so cute. Classy little thing cut it in Walmart! Woohoo! The little right one is showing, but hasn't broken through yet.

She can hold her own bottle- I mean, seriously, why am I even here? She doesn't even need me!

She visited St. Simons for the first time! Neal's mom, dad, brother and brother's girlfriend were all there too- so much fun. She even experienced her first bike ride! This little chicky loves adventure!
We climbed to the top of the lighthouse.
Half the time, she slept...
What she likes to do: She loves to sit in her high chair and watch me in the kitchen. I'll give her some apples or carrots to chew on, and she's happy as can be. When we go to restaurants, she sits in the high chairs there too- you can tell she feels like she's doing something special ; )

Modeling Halloween headbands from the
big girl seat in the shopping cart!
She finally loves her play mat. I can actually leave her there for 10-15 min and she will happily play. It's great!
In mid-roll from back to front.
When she wakes up in the morning, she plays in her crib for about 10-20 minutes most of the time. Now that she can roll around so much, she's more easily self-entertained.

We took her to her first Braves game. She did SO well! She didn't like it when people stood up and cheered, but she was in awe of the fireworks at the end- no tears at all!

Watching the fireworks with Grandmommy.
We drove to Burt's Pumpkin Patch a week ago and had a blast! We let her sit in the pumpkins and hit them and she loved watching all the kids around her. Of course- she was a HIT because she was just so darn cute! We went on a hayride and afterwards picked out 3 pumpkins to bring home for our front porch.

One of my faves from the day!
Cutest pumpkin in the patch!

The next day...CHICKEN POX. Due to an increase of parents not having their children vaccinated, more and more old diseases are popping up. Since we really get her out and about, her pediatrician said she could have encountered it anywhere, and since she's too young for the vaccine, it is not too surprising that she picked them up. It's not a bad case, though, and she has handled them like a BOSS! At least we got THAT out of the way early!
Clothes: Baby girl is still in 3 month clothing. She is so lanky though, that we've had to move her up in anything footed. Her toes curl up at the end of her sleepers, so 6 month sleepers have almost entirely replaced her old ones. We hit up Once Upon a Child and got some super-cute cool weather clothing. If you haven't been to that consignment shop, you need to go! I bought 3 Janie and Jack items that would have cost about $75 in store for about $12. Amazing? Yes. She also has her first pair of leopard pants, and they are snazzy snazzy.
Meeting Aunt Emily and wearing her snazzy pants!
Sleeping: Thank you LORD- this child is back to being a good sleeper. We definitely hit a rough patch there for a while, but she has slipped back into her old routine and sleeps 11-12 hours a night. It's a beautiful thing.

Eating: She is eating solid foods!! I held off as long as I could, but during our trip to St. Simons, it was painfully evident that Piper Jayne was HUNGRY! She was reaching for everything and was SO interested in everything we were eating!
She likes everything that she's tried so far. She loves her baby food. I nurse her after, but she really fills up on about 2 jars of food each meal.
