what's playin' on your life soundtrack?

when i say life soundtrack, i guess i should define it....
here's my definition:
life soundtrack (n.):
1. the music that you most frequently listen to and have specific, personal
associations with.
ex. the song that was playing when you and your bf/gf first made out, etc.
2. this music can also be an escape/ fantasy song; you associate it with something                you wish  you could do or imagine yourself doing.
ex. bittersweet symphony in cruel intentions- if that song comes on when
i'm in my car, i automatically become reese witherspoon driving down a rural
road with wind blowing in my hair and driving an amazing antique car.

~~so, with this said, what is one song on your life soundtrack? why? let me know. by doing this, you are also perhaps showing me some music i've never heard before.

*now, a little about the artist you have been listening to while reading this:

name:
the format
albums:
ep (2002)
interventions and lullabies (2003)
dog problems (2006)
b-sides and rarities (2007)
why i like them:
ok, the boys in the format are not attractive and let's face it- lead singer nate ruess doesn't even have the most amazing voice. so why do i listen to them time and time again? easy. it's fun, it's new, and it's different. with songs like snails and oceans, how can you not like their indie-pop sound? their acoustic songs are incredible also. check 'em out. you won't regret it.

get a feel for them by listening to the player at the bottom of this page. my favorite songs are (in no particular order)
-the first single (you know me)
-snails
-oceans
-she doesn't get it

stay posted for the new featured artist!

I know exactly what you mean. There are some songs that you can just identify with more so than others. They make you feel like yourself...or sometimes even something bigger. I guess one of the songs that are on my "life soundtrack" would be Bon Jovi "You Give Love A Bad Name". I identify with this song because my sister made me love a lot of 80's and 90's bands...when I hear it I just imagine I'm in the car with her, windows down, and we are singing at the top of our lungs.
On another note, I really like your blog...it seems to be coming along well.

Currently my life soundtrack would have to be "Best Days" by Matt White. I LOOOVE the lyrics:

Every time I look at you
You always look so beautiful
Driving on the road again
The chevys packed up
and its dusk

And I would take some photographs
So I can dream of you

Can't say I've felt such a twisting in my heart this
way
We pitch a tent and i wont sleep i just stay awake.
Fires burning, softly singing songs.
So close to you.

Do you believe
In love at first sight
I think you do
We're lying naked under the covers
Those are the best days of my life.

Can't take away those times
We stayed up and we talked all night
Chain smoking cigarettes and
Three bottles of red wine
Falling asleep together
Holding your body close to mine .

Oh and in the morning
Your eyes opened so innocent
The sun is blazing , we are sweaty
You look lovely
Nothing else matters anymore 'cause you're
In my arms again

Do you believe
In love at first sight
I think you do .
We're lying naked under the covers
Those are the best days of my
Those are the best days of my
Those are the best days of my life

Oh Ill never want to be without you
So just stay with me
I will love you endlessly .

Oh darling, darling
Those are the best days of my
Those are the best days of my .. life

Do you believe
In love at first sight
I think you do
We're lying naked under the covers
Those are the best days of my life
Those are the best days of my
Those are the best days of my
Those are the best days of my life

My life soundtrack? Right now I'm just full of Jason Molina and all the stuff he's done with Songs: Ohia and the Magnolia Electric Company.

He's a bit morose, but very articulate, and I like that.

From I've Been Riding with the Ghost:

While you were gone
you must have done a lot of favors.
You’ve got a whole lot of things
I don’t think that you could ever have paid for.
While you’ve been busy crying about my past mistakes,
I’ve been busy trying to make a change
Now I made a change
